Dad...Pop Pop..... I will always remember the little subtle comments that we shared . Your love of "real" country and gospel music was deep. I will always remember hearing you sing along as you sat and played your guitar smiling that big smile of yours. Your courage and strength was amazing as you fought this battle to the very end. I will treasure forever that wide -eyed look of total awe and amazement that came as you took that last breath. Without any doubt I know you saw something beyond earthly knowledge at that very minute. I will keep that memory in my heart and share it with others always. Thank you for the talents and heart you passed to Michael by your example.rest well ! ....I know there is another special angel watching over us now.... .....

Mrs Winton, Pam and Mike, I am so sorry to learn of your husband and father's death. I remember him with fondness and always his ready smile. Your whole family was a wonderful part of Headlands Baptist and Mike was fun at BYF too. I know your dad is in heaven with my dad remembering good times! Know I am thinking of you and your family members as you go through this hard time. My heart is with you all and know I care. Sincerely, Beth Keeney(Dovenbarger)
