Bill was a passionate fan of open wheel racing and was working towards becoming a driver. He obtained his racing license in 2005 and was scheduled to start series racing in December of ’06. Bill worked for the Polestar Racing Group. He was a respected and admired basketball player for St. Peter Chanel and Notre Dame Cathedral Latin becoming captain of both teams and also received the MVP award for his senior year. While attending Ohio University, he was a member of the PKE fraternity. He greatly enjoyed hanging out with his friends as well as listening to music and playing with his dog, Jensen. His greatest love was spending time with his family. Throughout his fight with leukemia, he tried every protocol suggested to help advance the research for this disease. His life came to a tragic end due to complications from a bone marrow transplant.Bil is survived by his parents William A. Masley II and Ann K. (Waite) Masley, sisters Christina (David) Kraft of North Canton, Teri (Bob) Johnson of Champion and Kate (Craig) Fletcher of Stow, grandfather William A. Masley I,Aunts, uncles and cousins. His grandparents Helen Masley and Stephen and Gladys Waite predeceased him.
