Nelson, 71, of Chardon, passed away May 2, 2010, at Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland.He was born April 12, 1939, in West Virginia, he had 28 years prior in Cleveland.Mr. Nelson was the owner of Nelson Delivery in Chardon for 35 years.He served in the U.S. Army in the 1960s. Mr. Nelson enjoyed watching westerns, bluegrass gospel music and serving the Lord. He was a faithful husband who honored and cherished his wife, Trudy. His greatest love was spending time with his family.Survivors are his wife, Trudy (Buttram) Nelson of Chardon, whom he married June 2, 1976; sons, Russell (Sherri) Nelson, Bradley (Alicia) Ward, Kenny (Denise) Ward and Scott (Michelle) Nelson; daughters, Rachel Hatten, Jessie (Billy) Clark, Audra (Greg) Borders, Janice (Gregg) Blasinsky-Meier, Sharon (Steve) Vagasky, Jackie (John) Gregorich, Deanna Ward and Danette (Jon) Janecek; 26 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mavis Bear and Hester Kailimai; and nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Ward B. and Brookie (Wiley) Nelson; brother, William Nelson; sisters, Maxine Lawson, Christine and Ilene Nelson; and daughter, Nova Mills.
