Walter C. Peine, 62, of Hinckley, passed away Nov. 8, 2010, at the Cleveland VA Medical Center, Wade Park Campas. Born May 9, 1948, in Painesville, he had lived in Claridon Township before moving to Hinckley 25 years ago. Mr. Peine was a disabled Marine who was honorably discharged having served as a Lance Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Walter Peine graduated from Burton High School. He enjoyed playing the guitar, poker, and was a great pool player. He loved his family and friends very much and was proud to be a Marine. Survivors are his sisters, Bonnie Dixon of Claridon Township and Charlene (Clarr) Butcher of Windsor Township; and nephews, Robert Butcher and Thomas Phillips. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Albert and Lois (nee Whiting) Peine. Funeral services will be held noon Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (Route 44, 500 feet south of Route 6/Chardon Square), Chardon. Pastor William Mullett of Chardon Assembly of God will officiate the services. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon Thursday at the funeral home.
