Virginia Wilcox (nee: Young), age 88, of Chardon Ohio, passed away October 30, 2021, at UH Geauga Medical Center unexpectedly. She was born October 24, 1933, in Chardon to the late Sam and Nellie (nee: Molzon) Young.
She was the loving Mother to Connie Varner, Arlene (Lee) McCurry, and Alice Wilcox and grandmother to Jason (Brittany) Varner and Chanda (Ryan) Sheppard.
Mom was a volunteer at UH Geauga Medical Center for 22 years. She was an avid reader and loved to watch the Indians and Cavs. She was a long-time attendee at the Willoughby Hills Friends Church. She was a lifelong resident of Chardon and enjoyed many friends in and around the town.
She was a devoted servant to the Lord, and when she called God, she never got a busy signal.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 8, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South Street, Chardon, Ohio 44024. Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at Chardon Municipal Cemetery.
