Viola Vi (Collins) Jamesondied April 2, 2008, at Metro General Hospital in Cleveland.Born May 24, 1919, in Huntington, W.Va., she was a lifelong area resident living in her current home for 60 years.Mrs. Jameson was a member of Pilgrim Christian Church and active in the Pilgrim Guild. She enjoyed swimming at the Painesville YMCA weekly and doing crossword puzzles. In her younger years, she enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Music was a big part of her life, being an organist for many years and singing. She also enjoyed baking and was known for her apple pies and chocolate chip cookies. The greatest joy of her life was her family.Survivors are her daughters, Jeanette (Bob) Peterson of Greenville, S.C., Joan Piwarski of Chardon, and Joyce (Bill) Santore of Chardon; son, Ken Jameson of Windsor; grandchildren, Ron Piwarski, Brian Musacchia, Kristin Musacchia, David Jameson, Shaun Piwarski, Heather (Brian) Boehnlein, Todd Santore, Mike Jameson, Chuck Jameson and Micaela Peterson; great-grandchildren, Nicole Piwarski and Addison Boehnlein; great-great-grandchild, Amir AbuMathkour; and sister, Ruth (Ray) Smith of North Olmsted.Her husband, Charles R. Jameson, whom she married May 18, 1941, in Rock Creek, died July 7, 1986. Her parents, John and Rosa (DeWitt) Collins; five brothers; and three sisters, are also deceased. The Rev. Ralph Wearstler, interim minister of Pilgrim Christian Church will officiate the service. Burial will be in North Chardon Cemetery in Chardon Township.
