Verl Eugene Trushel, age 78 of Middlefield, Ohio passed away on November 19, 2021. Born at home on June 9, 1943, to John C. and Ethel M. (nee: Dixon) Trushel in Magnolia, Ohio.
Verl served in the National Guard. He was in the excavating business for 57 years, the Owner/Operator of Trushel Excavating along with his sons. He enjoyed raising animals, racing motorcycles, and snowmobiles. He loved spending time with his family and traveling especially to Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Carol M. (nee: Began) Trushel; sons, Verl C. (Tammi) Trushel and Tyler (Ruth) Trushel; Grandchildren, Melanie (Dan) Shawber, Katie Trushel, Tyler Trushel and Jacob Trushel; Great Grandchildren, Vivian and Jameson Shawber and sister, Bee Overgaard.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob and Nelson; sisters, Shirley and Myrna.
Family will be receiving friends from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at the St. Helen Catholic Church, 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury, OH 44065. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. after the visitation. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery, 10266 Chardon Road, Chardon, OH 44024.
