Born in Chardon, Ohio, Venice lived in New York, Connecticut, and Utah before returning to Chardon In 1998.After taking some years off to raise her children, Mrs. Phillips returned to work as a Certified Public Accountant for Chardon Tool Company since 2000. She worked for several years in accounting and executive recruiting in New York City, Stamford CT and Dayton, OH. She married John Phillips December 14, 1984 in Chardon. Mrs. Phillips was a 1975 graduate of Chardon High School and a 1979 graduate of Kent State University. She earned her CPA in 1981. She was very active and proud of her creative skills. She enjoyed sewing clothing and quilts, soap making and collecting and taking very diligent and loving care in raising her children. Survivors include her husband John Phillips of Chardon Twp., children Rachael and Ryan at home; parents Milton and Barbara (nee: Cooley) Luther of Chardon Twp.sisters Michelle (Gary) Mymo of Niles, Cindy Luther of Fernley, NV and Heidi (Norm) Gertz of Hambden Twp.;brothers Konrad (Janet) and Byron (Jennifer) Luther, both of Chardon Twp.; Six nieces and one nephew. Her brother Milton “Bud” Luther, Jr. is deceased.
