Ursula T. (Trippstein) Hanna, 82, of Chardon, passed away Dec. 19, 2010, at University Hospitals in Cleveland.Born Jan. 23, 1928, in Eschwege, Germany, she had lived in Chardon for 38 years.Mrs. Hanna was the co-proprietor of Ursula’s Boutique at Fowler’s Mill. Ursula and Nancy Hanna, her sister-in-law, were co-proprietors. Ursula married M.A. “Jack” Hanna in Bad Homburg, Germany July 17, 1958.Ursula was christened Ursula Helena Hedwig Trippstein. After completing her secondary education, Ursula served in the war effort and attended drama school. She served as a European Tour Guide and acted on the Karlsruhe, Germany stage. Later, she worked in sales, where she met Jack who was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army in Europe.She was a member of Fowler’s Mill Christian Church and served several terms as president of the Women’s Fellowship. She was a member of the Board of Ravenwood Mental Health Center for many years. In her younger days, she won many awards in the fields of track, fencing and cross country skiing. She loved working with ceramics and quilting. Ursula was a wonderful cook, extensively traveled and both multi-lingual and multi-cultural.She was loved by all who knew her and respected for her dignity, grace and sense of style. She will be missed by this earth and heartily welcomed in Heaven.Survivors are her husband, M.A. “Jack” Hanna of Chardon; daughter, Lynn (Andrew) Ingram of Emmaus, Pa.; son, Craig Hanna of Delafield, Wisc.; three grandchildren, Rachael, Jayme and Mark Ingram; sister, Rosmarie Trippstein of Bad Homburg, Germany; and numerous cousins.She was preceded in death by h er parents, Rudolf and Marie (Schlegelmilch) Trippstein.Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at Fowler’s Mill Christian Church, 10755 Mayfield Road, Chardon. Pastor Roy Williams of the church will officiate.Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (Route 44, 500 feet south of Route 6/Chardon Square), Chardon.
