THOMAS “TOM” S. POOLE
Age 65 of Huntsburg Twp., formerly of Newbury Twp., unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021. Born May 23, 1955 in Cleveland, to James and Dorothy (nee: Richards) Poole, he was a lifelong area resident. He was a 1974 graduate of Newbury High School. Tom was an avid Harley-Davidson rider, a collector of antique John Deere Tractors, showing his Hit and Miss collection and trips to their family island in Canada. He really enjoyed sharing his knowledge of “fixing things” with his girls and grandkids, especially working in his barn. His most recent love was smoking most anything on his new Traeger.
Survivors include his wife Cindy (nee: Pfund), whom he married, November 1, 1975, his High School sweetheart. He also leaves his daughters, Trish Poole of Huntsburg Twp., Angela (Ryan Carpenter) Poole of Garrettsville and Victoria (Daniel Horton) Poole of Montville, grandchildren Logan Keller of Claridon Twp. and Hailey Keller of Huntsburg Twp., sister Cynthia (Frank) Goldman of Athol, MA and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 12:00 noon – 2:00 PM and 4:00 – 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM. Private family burial will be held at a later date. The family requests donations to The Geauga County Dog Shelter, 12513 Merritt Drive, Chardon, 44024.
