THOMAS P. SMITH
Age 87 of Chardon, prior of Euclid, passed away on June 5, 2019. Born December 23, 1931 to Thomas and Margaret Smith. Tom went to Kent State University to play collegiate baseball. After graduation he proudly served in the US Army. He went on to become a Senior Hospital Specialist with Abbott Laboratories, retiring in 1987 after 26 years.
Survivors include his daughter: Pamela (Jamie) Yert; grandchildren: Elyette (Jake) (nee: Yert) Bott, Perry Yert and Declan Yert; and daughter Kathleen Smith.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Joanne (nee: Hoffman) Smith, his parents and his sister.
The family will hold a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at 11:30 A.M. at the Church of St. Mary, 401 North Street, Chardon, OH.
