Mr. Katic was a member of the American Bowling Congress for 68 years, Areie Eagles # in Chardon for over 30 years and Chardon VFW Post #6519 for over 50 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and skeet shooting. He loved to dance, especially polka and Waltz. He met his wife Vi dancing. Mr. & Mrs. Katic enjoyed their Motor Home, having traveled from Florida to Alaska. They have wonderful memories of their travels. Mr. Katic was a Veteran of the US Army, prior to World War II. Survivors include his wife Violet (nee: Gilson) Katic of Montville Township,daughter Mary Ann Griffin of Killen, AL, sons Frank Thomas (Carol) Katic of Muscle Shoals, AL and James Robert Katic of Yosemite, CA; grandchildren Christina (Michael) Forbes of Seffner, FL, Michael (Darita) Katic of Panama City, FL, David (Jennifer) Griffin of Cape Cod, Mass, Theresa Griffin of Killen, AL, James Katic of Los Angeles, CA; great grandchildren Steven, Robert and Jamie Katic; Will and Caitlin Griffin; Michael and Zachary Katic. Brother Michael Mark Katic of Westland, MI; step children Ricky Trendle of Middlefield, Brenda Wolfam of Warren, Rocky (Christina) Trendle of Middlefield, step grandchildren Justin and Brian Trendle, Alex and Paulina Wolfam; Jacqueline and Keith Trendle; Brianna (Brandon) Drebeck; Tiffany (Steven) Dillen; Rebecca Claar and step great grandchild Tyler Dillen. His first wife whom he married June 26, 1034 in Ripley, NY Mary R. (Sietz) Katic, preceded him in death June 8, 984. His parents Thomas and Ann Katic and sister Ann are also deceased.
