Thomas Joseph “Tommy” Caione, passed away due to complications from pneumonia on May 16, 2020 in Chardon, Ohio at Mapleview Country Villa Nursing Home at the age of 86. He was born on December 21, 1933 in Painesville, Ohio to Rose and Pasquale Caione.
He was an avid bowler at one time he bowled on 5 leagues every week. He was small in stature, but had a mighty hand at making those strikes. He retired from Jos Dyson & Son Machine Shop after 54 years, and retired because of the progression of his Parkinson’s disease.
His family would like to thank all the staff at Mapleview Country Villa for the years of dedication and loving care they gave to him.
A special loving thanks to his niece Robin Craig, long-time resident of Willoughby, Ohio who advised and cared for him for many years. They were both blessed to have each other!
A special loving thanks also to his nephew David Craig, who continued to make weekly visits and gave “Uncle Tommy” his weekly shave.
Tommy was a very special person, and loved by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose & Pasquale Caione and brother Bernard Caione. He is survived by his sister Joni Messina, nieces Robin Craig, Denise Bentley (Christopher), Lisa Giannias (Dean) and 7 great nieces and nephew.
