THOMAS F. HAVLICEK
Age 67 of Hartsgrove, died October 6, 2018 unexpectedly. Born February 4, 1951 in Ashtabula, to Frank and Phyllis (nee: Trask) Havlicek, he was a lifelong area resident.
Tom will always be remembered as a kind, caring, and generous man. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life including hunting, fishing, and watching movies. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Tom and his wife, Peggy, were soulmates. They enjoyed traveling together and seeking new adventures. When not vacationing in Myrtle Beach, he was visiting his children and watching his grandchildren in all their activities. At home, he was often found walking around the neighborhood with his “granddog”, Frank. Tom also enjoyed driving truck and retired from Hemly Trucking in Montville, Ohio after more than 10 years of service. Anyone who knows Tom has most certainly been entertained while listening to his stories and will never forget his contagious smile. Tom was always there to support his children; he loved life, and he taught us to love life too.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Peggy (nee: Ditto) Havlicek, children Bobby (Karianne) of Lancaster, Kelly (Dan) Alisesky of Jefferson Hills, PA, Karen (Josh) Roderick of Jefferson, Tim (Kelly) Howson of FL and Tiffanie (Virgil) Petty of Chardon, grandchildren Xavier, Margaret, Harper, Laurel, Dani, Morgan, Emma, Ella, Cody, Syerra, Megan and Austin. He also leaves his sister Allynne (Roger) Herbster of Orwell, step mother, Kie Havlicek of Hambden Twp. and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
