A long time member of the Chardon United Methodist Church, where she was active in the United Methodist Women’s Guild and sang in the church choir. Mrs. Peine had been a volunteer at both Geauga Community Hospital and the Painesville YMCA. Mrs. Peine attended Chardon High School in the Class of 1944.She had been a member of the former Progress-Research Club and enjoyed playing pinochle with the Wilder Park Pinochle Club. Susvivors include her husband Lester Peine of Chardon Twp., daughters, Karen (Richard) Knierim of Mentor, Connie (Dr. Warren) Williams of Matthews, NC, sons, Rev. Leslie (Beryl) Peine of Canton,William (Susan) Peine of McLean, Virginiagrandchildren Mark Peine, Susan Peine, Sarah Oldham, Kenneth, Keith and Kathy Knierim, Nathan Peine Colin and Ian Lasch, sisters, Viola Jameson of Chardon, and Ruth Smith of Westlake.His parents John H. and Rosa (Nee: DeWitt) Collins, brothers Curtis, Alva, Charles, Richard, and Pirl Collins and sisters Edith Shreiner and Alice Wilson are all deceased. donations are suggested to the Building Fund of the Chardon United Methodist Church, 515 North St., Chardon, OH
