Susan Lynne George, age 50, of Munson Township, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, at her residence, with her husband, daughters and Mother Agnes at her side, after an eight-year battle with breast cancer and Crohn’s disease.Born Sept. 21, 1959, in Grand Rapids, Mich., she had been a resident of Munson for the past 22 years. Susan married Stephen George on Aug. 1, 1987, in Chester Township.Mrs. George worked for Euclid Public Schools as a special education/remedial reading teacher for 15 years, and she piloted one of the first Tots Pre-School Programs.She volunteered at Our Shepherd Lutheran School, reading to the children.Susan was a loving wife and mother who devoted her life to God and her family. She was an avid cross-stitcher and rug-hooker. She also loved to read, play tennis and ride bicycles at the parks with her family. Susan was a member of Chester Christian Center. She home-schooled her daughters for five years.Survivors are her husband, Stephen George; daughters, Rebekah and Annah George, both of Munson Township; father, Clinton (Linda) Schaap of Casselberry, Fla.; mother-in-Law, Agnes Schuster of Eastlake; aunt, Marty Schaap of Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandma, Fran Britch of Euclid; sisters, Beth Britch of Euclid, Sandra Klepac of Hambden, and Bonnie Morton of New Knoxville, Ohio.She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy and Carol Dudley who raised her.Pastor Stefan Sawczak will officiate at services.Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Munson Township.
