Mrs. Holy was an active member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Chesterland and a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Thompson. She was a gourmet cook, loved to garden, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Holy always got a thrill out of life. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and friend to many. She was the Food Service Manager for the Newbury Board of Education for 13 years and worked at Ledgemont Schools for 25 years. She is survived by her husband Frank Holy of Chardon Township, whom she married June 23, 1955; daughters Joanne (Robert) Heun of Brecksville, Jamie (Charles) Nicoletti of Chardon Township and Joyce (George) Yopko of Chardon Township, grandchildren Nicolaus Heun, Chad Nicoletti, Thomas Heun, Julia Nicoletti, Jenna Rumbutis, Leo Rumbutis, Hannah Rumbutis and George Yopko, Jr.; sisters Sally Slovenec of Richmond Hts., Elaine Price of Tampa, FL and Seline Pierson of Gold Hill, OR. Her parents Edward and Bertha (nee: Leimbach) Durk, mother Alda (nee: Kelley) Richards and brother Stanley Durk are deceased.
