Shirley Krakora, age 88, of Munson Twp., OH, peacefully passed away at her home surrounded by her family on September 5, 2023.  Born April 4, 1935 to Clifford and Dessie (nee: Kruis) Lender in Utahville, PA. She married James C. Krakora on August 15, 1970 in Maple Heights, OH.  He preceded her in death on November 29, 2007.

Shirley was the first female volunteer fire fighter for Munson Township, she loved to travel, and she enjoyed going to the library as she loved reading.  She was actually a speed reader averaging ten books a week, hundreds of books a year.  She was a wonderful baker and cook, making her own applesauce among other baked goods.  Shirley was very active at the club house and Red Hat Society at her winter home in Florida. She loved playing cards, and spending time with friends and family.  She especially enjoyed going to Disney World with her family.

She is survived by her children, Diane (Theodore) Jewell of  Munson Twp., OH, John (Christine) Ferrato of Scranton, PA, Tracy (James) Cohn of Munson Twp., OH and James M. (Dina) Krakora of Munson Twp., OH; Grandchildren, Robert (Katie) Jewell, Michael (Caitlin) Jewell, Nathan (Megan) Jewell, Daniel Ferrato, Eric Cohn, Andrew Cohn, Jacob Krakora, Thomas Krakora and Nicole Krakora; Great Grandchildren, Carter Jewell, Lorelei Jewell, Jacqueline Jewell and Charlie Jewell; sister, Katherine Pearce of Glen Campbell, PA; niece, Linda (Paul) Peroni of Willoughby, OH and nephew, Richard (Susan) Lender of Willoughby, OH. She was loved and will be missed by many.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, Delores Jones and Donald Lender.

A Private Graveside Service was held.
