Ruth M. MaddenSunday, September 2, 2007Star Beacon CHARDON – Ruth Marguerite Madden (nee: Bonnell), age 86, of Huntsburg Township, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007, at Briar Hill Health Care Residence, Middlefield, Ohio. Born Dec. 4, 1920, in Conneaut, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Arnold and L. Marguerite (nee: Bennett) Bonnell and was a graduate of Ashtabula High School, Class of 1938. On April 18, 1943, she married Kenneth Lynn Madden in Ashtabula and lived in N. Kingsville for 56 years before moving to Huntsburg Township 7 years ago.Mrs. Madden was a telephone operator in Ashtabula and the lunchroom and recess lady at North Kingsville Elementary School during the 1950’s. She also served as the Deputy Registrar for the State of Ohio for many years, selling auto license plates from the basement office in her home.Mrs. Madden was very active in the North Kingsville Presbyterian Church in her younger years and was a former member of the North Kingsville Grange.Survivors include two daughters, Alona (Frank) Cone Warner of Huntsburg Township, Ohio, and Sally (Larry) Webber of Missouri City, Tex.; a granddaughter, Candace Cone of Charlottesville, Va.; and sister, Maxine Custead of Ashtabula, Ohio.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth L. Madden on April 8, 1974; and a sister, Jeannette Clemmer.
