Roy C. Cooper, Sr. age 81 of Hambden Twp. died Nov. 7, 2012 at his home. Born March 15, 1931 in Fentress County, TN to Nelson and Leeva (nee:Turner) Cooper, he has been a long time area resident. Mr. Cooper retired as a steel worker from Coe Manufacturing. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his apple orchard. Roy is survived by his wife Lois (nee:smith) Cooper of Hambden Twp; daughters Betty Sue (Ron) Sustae of Wickliffe and Rebecca Jane (Michael) Powell of Chardon; son Roy C. (Jennifer) Cooper of Leroy; grandchildren Rebecca (Bernard) Brunsdon, Samantha, Morgan and Sydney Powell and Josephine Cooper; sisters Lois Wilson and Judith Owens, both of TN and brother Bud Cooper of TN. He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings Joyce Taylor, Daisy Meadows, J.T., Nelson Jr, and Jerry Cooper. MEMORIALSVC: Sunday Nov. 11, 2012 at 8pm at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South ST. (On Rt. 44, 500′ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) Chardon, OH VISITATION: 5:30-8pm on Sunday. A private family burial will take place.
