Rose Fumiko (nee: Sekikawa) Yamamoto, 96, formerly of Euclid, lived in Chardon for the past 10 years. She was born September 1, 1916 in Sacramento, CA, and died January 9, 2013 at The Residence of Chardon. Rose was a dietician at St. Alexis Hospital in Cleveland for 27 years. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was a member of Epworth Euclid Methodist Church and the Japanese American Citizens League.Rose is survived by her children, Shirley (Richard) McCracken of Chardon, Larry “Ken” (Sharon) Yamamoto of Middlefield, Donna (Gary) Klein of Sterling Heights, MI and Richard (Lori) Yamamoto of Wickliffe. She also leaves 8 Grandchildren; Jeff, Karen, Scott, Keith, Gary, Ricky, Dawn and Kristy, 8 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Her husband, George J. Yamamoto died in 1989 and her parents, Genkichi and Fudeyo (nee: Saiki) Sekikawa are also deceased. Private family services were held. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.
