Ronald Michael Adams (Ron) of Chardon, OH went home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2022. He passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Susan Adams and John Radacy on October 24, 1946, in Charleroi, PA. Ron lived in Dawson, PA during his junior and high school years graduating from Frazier High in 1964. He valued the frequent class reunions throughout the years keeping in touch with many of his classmates and friends.
Ron moved to Willoughby OH in 1964 where he met his future wife Linda Bowyer of Wickliffe OH. They were married on August 7, 1965. They spent most of their married years living in Leroy Township and Chardon, OH. Ron spent the majority of his working years at Kennametal in Willoughby and Solon OH retiring after 39 years. He then worked a few more years at Napa Auto Parts in Chardon. Ron spent many years at Morning Star Friends Church in Chardon where, among other things, he served as usher and participated in Men’s Group. More than anything Ron loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed working in his yard and was well known for having the most beautiful landscaping. He owned many classic cars in his lifetime and loved working on them and taking them to car shows.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda (nee Bowyer) of Chardon; Sons, Ronald Adams Jr. of Chardon, and John Adams of Twinsburg; daughter, Denise D’Amico of Chardon; sister, Elaine (Bob) Rainone of Mentor; brothers, John Adams of Dawson PA, Glenn (Martha) Fry of Thompson, and Gary Fry of Hambden; sisters in law, Penny (Dan) Crowell of Painesville and Joy Galbraith of Painesville. Ron also leaves behind 10 beloved grandchildren and soon to be 16 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, his dedicated canine companion “Coco” and numerous dear friends and neighbors.
Ron was preceded in death by his mother Susan Fry, father John Radacy, grandparents Anna and Michael Adams, brother Thomas Fry, sisters Joyce Ann Chapley and Dolores Stephens
Ron was greatly loved and will be sorely missed by everyone. RIP “Papa Kielbasa”.
There will be a “Celebration” of Ron’s life on September 17, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Prokop Velky Odd Fellows Lodge, 7272 Austin Powder Drive, Glenwillow, OH 44139. All are welcome.
