Robert W. Conley Sr., 73, of Montville Township, passed away Nov. 26, 2010, at his home. A lifelong resident of Montville Township, he was born June 14, 1937, in Chardon. Mr. Conley was a production manager for Ardac Inc. (aka Dixie Narco) in Eastlake, retiring in 1999 after 42 years. He married Mary Kay McCombs Sept. 9, 1961, at the Chardon United Methodist Church in Chardon. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan. Robert had a great sense of humor and loved his vegetable garden. He collected John Wayne movies and was a member of the Geauga County Historical Engine Society. He truly loved and enjoyed spending time with his family and pets. Survivors include his wife, Mary Kay (nee McCombs) of Montville; daughter, Pam Smith of Bedford; son, Robert W. (Nicole) Conley Jr. of Montville Township; grandchildren, Derek Farley of Kent, Leanndra Tucholski of Maple Heights and Jessup and Ali Smith of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Anna (Slajsna) Conley and brother, Roger Conley. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at Middlefield United Methodist Church, 14999 S. State St., Middlefield. Pastor Ed Peterson will officiate services. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (on State Route 44, 500 feet south of Route 6/Chardon Square), Chardon.
