Robert Bob Hare, age 86, a lifelong resident of Ashtabula, died Thursday, March 19, 2009.He was born April 6, 1922, in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of the late Lloyd and Sadie (Burr) Hare.Mr. Hare worked at Yoder Brothers Nursery until his retirement.He enjoyed photography, reading, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed walking and was a friend to many.Survivors include a daughter, Pennie (Richard) Dougherty of Chardon; stepchildren, Dick (Kathy) Hagquist, Michael Hagquist and Susan (Judson) Fell; grandchildren, Sharon (Rob) Shaw, Richie Dougherty, Brandy (Byron) Harper, Kristy Cunningham, Amy Cunningham, Judson (Amanda) Fell, Dan Hagquist, Michael Hagquist and Denise (Thomas) Heather; great-grandchildren, Megan, Alexandria, Michael, Hunter, Austin, Davin, Aiden, Amiah, Christian, Austin, Ainsley, Thomas and Trinity; and sisters, Evelyn Loyd and Beverly (Ron) Turner, both of Ashtabula.He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola, whom he was married to for 34 years; his parents; brothers, Algie, Jack and Raymond Hare; and sister, Winifred Whitt.Funeral Burial will be at Claridon Center Cemetery.
