Bob Zeman died November 1, 2012 at Season’s of Life Hospice in Parma at the age of 89. He was brought up by his mother Kate McGovern Zeman and her brother, Anthony McGovern “Uncle Duck”, on the west side of Cleveland. While attending Cleveland Marshall High School, he was awarded for his prize architectural drawings. He saw duty as a First Lieutenant during World War II in the Philippines. He spent many years in the Engineering Department of Hoover Universal, in Georgetown, KY, where he became a KY Colonel. Afterwards, he and his brother formed BODON Mfg., a government electrical parts company. Bob also owned VIP industrial Products. He became Plant Manager of E.F. Hauserman’s Branch in Philadelphia. He & his wife moved many times and enjoyed traveling by car to tourist places. They had 3 sons. Their first son, Christopher, who was lost in his youth, was a prize baby born on the 4th of July. Their 2 sons Jack and Mark have cared for their elderly parents for many years. Bob was known for his beautiful sense of humor. His wife often remarked “He should be a national comedian, and then everyone could enjoy his comedy”. Bob was such a pleasant person to be around. He was loved by all who knew him. His boss once described Bob as “Unique”. Bob was a member of St. Rapheal’s & Holy Trinity. He loved to roller skate as a young man. He belonged to a group of skaters the “Unholy Five”. They remained friends for many years. Bob made us happy and we miss him very much and always will. Survivors include his wife Ellen (nee: Yednock) Zeman of Bay Village, Jack Zeman of North Royalton and Mark (Noreen) Seaton, also of North Royalton. He also leaves grandchildren Jason (Katie) Zeman of Mentor and Justin Zeman of North Royalton and Christopher, Gregory and Jillian (Satoshi Nambu) Zeman of North Royalton and Great Grandson Aiden Zeman. His son Christopher Zeman, parents Frank and Kate (nee: McGovern) Zeman, Brothers Frank and Don Zeman and daughter in law Mary Jo (nee: Nagal) Zeman preceded him in death.The family will receive friends Sunday, November 4, 2:00 – 5:00 PM at McGorray-Hanna Funeral Home, 25620 Center Ridge Road, Westlake. The funeral service is Monday, November 5 at 10:30 AM at the McGorray-Hanna Funeral Home.
