Robert R. Coulter, 65, of Chardon, a school teacher, died March 21, 2007, at LakeEast Hospital in Painesville.Born Sept. 5, 1941, in Charleroi, Pa., he lived in Chardon the past 40 years.He loved to play golf, and after his retirement, he worked at Pleasant Hill Golf Course. He was chapter director of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association Chapter D. He and his wife, would travel the country with the GWRRA Club. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He played Duplicate Bridge. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.Mr. Coulter taught at the West Geauga Middle School for 35 years, where he was also a basketball coach. Survivors are his wife, Karen Maze (nee, Leyde) Coulter, whom he married July 28, 1979, at Chardon United Methodist Church; children, Laura (Frank) Tilocco of Chardon, Lisa (nee, Maze) Service of Lakewood and Jeff (Celesta Mullins) Maze of Middlefield; grandchildren, Anthony and Alicia Tilocco of Chardon, Kayleigh Tyson of Lakewood, Francesca and Alexandrea Romero of Albuquerque, N.M., and Baby Maze on the way; sister, Shirley (James) Cooper of Nebraska; brother, Harold Casey (Martha) Coulter of Belle Vernon, Pa.; and nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Susan (nee, Shemo) Coulter.The Rev. Henry Woodruff, PhD. of Chardon United Methodist Church will officiate at the services. Burial will be at Chardon Municipal Cemetery.
