Rita “GG ” Laverne Case passed away peacefully at Hacienda Rehabilitation in Sierra Vista, Arizona at 3:15 PM on Thursday, November 25th, 2010 after complications from a recent hip fracture. Rita was born on December 12th, 1918 to Edward and Lucile O’Brien in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the youngest of three girls. She married Grover Koslowski on May 9th, 1936. Years later they changed their last name to Case. Rita was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a devoted Catholic, always attending mass and singing in the choir. She spent her life loving everyone and spreading joy and happiness wherever she went with her warm, caring smile. Rita relocated from her long time home in Euclid, Ohio to Sierra Vista, Arizona in 1993 so she could be close to her daughter Roberta (Bobby) Case, 4 grandsons Scott Kern, Brad Kern, Mitch Kern and Dean Kern, and 7 great-grandchildren Matthew, Timothy, Ashton, Holly, Stephen, Dillon and Samantha. Jack Kern, Rita’s former son-in-law said it best, “She has been the most gentle and best spirited person I have ever known, never a bad word about anything or anyone. I always said that if there is an angel walking on earth it is Rita. ” May she rest in peace. We love you Grandma.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church 1425 E Yaqui St. in Sierra Vista with Fr. Ariel Lustan as Celebrant. Visitation will be 15 minutes prior to the service. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 11th, 2010 next to her son Daniel and husband Grover at All Souls Cemetery 10366 Chardon Road Chardon, Ohio.Arrangements have been entrusted to Jensen’s Sierra Vista Mortuary and Burr Funeral Home in Chardon, OH
