Richard C. Lutzke, age 68, of Chardon, died Sept. 3, 2009, at University Hospitals in Cleveland.He was born Oct. 15, 1940, in Bay City, Mich.Mr. Lutzke was the owner of Regal Industries in Painesville.He married Judy Dinauer on Nov. 23, 1963.He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving with the International American Geodetic Survey at Ft. Clayton, Panama Canal Zone, and was trained in jungle warfare.Mr. Lutzke was a Chardon Township trustee for 20 years. He was very involved in the Geauga County Republican Party. He was a member of the Chardon VFW Post 6519 Auxiliary. He enjoyed vacationing with his family and exploring the beaches of the Caribbean.Survivors are his wife of 46 years, Judy Lutzke; son, Kevin (Jake) Lutzke of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Kristin Lutzke of Concord Township; grandchildren, William, Nick and Joey; brother, James (Vonnie) of Cadillac, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Curtis and Doris Lutzke.The Reverend Tom Gilles of the church will officiate at services.Burial will be private.
