Phillip R. Jorgenson, 59, of Troy Township, passed away April 18, 2011, at Geauga Medical Center in Claridon Township.Born April 10, 1952, in East Cleveland, he had lived in Euclid and Colorado for five years before moving to Troy Township 10 years ago.Mr. Jorgenson worked in automotive service at Preston Chevrolet in Burton Village for 10 years. He also had been in auto service while living in Colorado.He was a U.S. Navy veteran, served during the Vietnam War, a graduate of Euclid High School, Class of 1970, enjoyed his abilities in pencil artwork and drawings, very proud of his good work ethic, and collected die-cast collectible cars.Survivors are his son, Peter Alan (Charlana) Jorgenson of Cleveland; and one brother, Michael Jorgenson of Troy Township.He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Anne (nee Lash) Jorgenson; and brother, Lawrence Jorgenson.A memorial gathering for friends and family will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2011, at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., Chardon.
