Penelope Jean “Penny” Rosch, 64, of Middlefield, lost her battle with cancer Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at Beachwood Pointe Care Center in Beachwood.Born Aug. 22, 1944, in Chardon, she was a lifelong area resident, living the past seven years in Middlefield. She married Charles W. Rosch Feb. 2, 1963, at Chardon United Methodist Church.Penny graduated from Chardon High School in 1962 and was a member of her class reunion committee. Penny was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a friend to all who knew her. She especially enjoyed watching Russell and his friends participate in Special Olympics activities through Metzenbaum and she enjoyed visiting and helping her friends in the Amish Community.She worked for a number of years as a payroll clerk for the family business, Russell Haueter Excavating and also worked in Accounts Payable for Agency Rent-A-Car Corp.Penny is survived by her husband, Charles W. Rosch of Middlefield; sons, Willis (Deborah) Rosch of Concord and Russell Rosch of Middlefield; daughter, Ronda (Shawn) Lanum of Sebastian, Fla.; and grandchildren, Katelynn Kraynak, Cory and Julia Lanum, Chelsea, Theodore and Spencer Rosch; and brother, Donald Haueter of Middlefield.She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell H. and Dorothy I. (Thompson) Haueter; brothers, Theodore, Robert and Richard Haueter; and sisters, Nancy Savage and twin sister, Patricia Haueter.The Rev. Robert Gaston will officiate services.
