Pauline P. Mercuri (née Mavar), 92, formerly of Willowick, died Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the Residence of Chardon surrounded by her family.
Born April 2, 1931 in Brier Hill, Pennsylvania, she was a graduate of Redstone High School in Republic, Pennsylvania. In November of 1951 she married Anthony Mercuri at St. Hedwig’s Church in Brier Hill, Pa.
She moved to the Cleveland area in 1953 and worked as a Pharmacy Technician for Revco/CVS for many years. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary Magdalene in Willowick, Ohio. Pauline enjoyed playing bingo, spoiling her grandchildren, and helping friends and family.
Survivors are her daughter, Kathleen Huschka (Mike Powers); sons Anthony (Kathy) Mercuri and Robert (Staci) Mercuri; grandchildren, Gina Schneck (David), Amelia, Abigail, and Anneliese Mercuri; step grandchildren, Brian (Mary) and Scott (Danielle) Zakrajsek; great grandchildren Nora and Isla Schneck; Maxwell, Miles, Wyatt, Parker, and Rhett Zakrajsek.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony; parents Stephen and Catherine Mavar (née Dorik); brothers John, Andrew, Anthony, Rudy, Joseph, Matthew Mavar; and one sister, Mary Senzock.
A private service for immediate family will be held at Burr Funeral Home in Chardon, Ohio. Her final resting place is at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
