Patricia (Pat) L. (Girdwood) Miller, 76, passed away suddenly on September 7, 2021 following a stroke. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 19, 1945, she was a resident of Burton Township since 1973.
Pat received her BA in education from Slippery Rock University, PA and taught elementary children for 2 ½ years in Wickliffe, OH. Following the miraculous healing of her first-born child, she trusted in the saving grace of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and became a Christian in March of 1971.
Pat devoted herself to the raising of her four children and faithfully served her family, friends, and church throughout her life. Living her faith, she prayed diligently for those around her, shared the Gospel with those she met, and was a staunch defender of unborn children. After lovingly serving for 10 years as a foster-parent for babies that were put up for adoption, Pat then volunteered for the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry at the Geauga Safety Center, where she led Bible studies and prayed with the women inmates.
In addition to her service, Pat enjoyed planting flowers and weeding their property in Burton, traveling around the country with her husband, and having lunch with her many friends. She also loved to dote on babies, especially her grandchildren.
Pat is survived by her husband of 54 years, John P. Miller, four children: Amy E. (Miller) Morgan her husband Sean and their 5 children: Ari, Aidan, Kyra, Kaela & Mitra; sons Jason P. Miller, Nicholas J. Miller and his wife Alissa A. (Scully) Miller, daughter Amanda L. (Miller) DiMeolo, her husband Ryan and their 2 children: Trevor and Cooper and sister June (Girdwood) Irvin.
