Age 95, of Claridon Twp., OH, died on Monday, September 3, 2018, at his home of 72 years. He was born in Painesville, OH, on August 30, 1923 to Ross L. and Gertrude (nee: Smith) Valentine. He was a graduate of Painesville Harvey High School . On November 10, 1946 he married Phylis Ensign at the 1st Congregational Church of Claridon.
Orrin worked as a Fireman and Engineer for the B & O Railroad for 21 years and then as a Custodian at Claridon Elementary, retiring in 1986 after 23 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and 1st Congregational Church of Claridon.
Orrin is survived by his nieces, Linda Ensign (Lanny Stone), Vickie (Rich) Kuhn, and Jan Ensign, nephew, Joseph E. Moore, great nieces, Mikki Buterbaugh and Katrina Motil, and brother in law, Richard Ensign.
Preceding him in death are his parents, his wife, and brothers, Elden and Dale Valentine.
The Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 am on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 1st Congregational Church of Claridon, 13942 Mayfield Road, Huntsburg, OH 44046. Interment will follow at Claridon Center Cemetery. The family has requested donations be made to the church.
