Nancy Duggan McGary

March 24, 1936 - October 15, 2012

Nancy was a Data Review Tech for Social Security Administration for 13 years. She also spent 11 years as an Office Clerk for Island Resorts on Put-in-Bay, OH. She was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church, a Graduate of Put-in-Bay High School, Class of 1954 and she attended the Davis Business College in Toledo, Ohio.Nancy Duggan married Roy Davis McGary on September 28, 1968, at St. Paul Episcopal Church in Put-in-Bay, Ohio. Aside from her husband, she is survived by her sisters in law Sharon Duggan of Put-in-Bay, OH, Colleen (Cliff) Martinez of Napolian, OH,Claudia (Jim) Funkhouser of Mesa, AZ and Catherine (Loren) Gentry of Granger, IN, her Mother-in-Law: Lucille McGary of Liberty Center, OH, nieces Dianne “Dee Dee” (Michael Steidl) Duggan of Put-in-Bay, OH, Mischa (Matt) Okuley of Napoleon, OH, Leah (Kurt) Weber of Winston-Salem, NC, nephews Charles “Chip” Duggan of Put-in-Bay, OH, Miles (Janet) Martinez of Ft. Wayne, IN, Chad Martinez of Napoleon, OH, Chris (Sandy) Funkhouser of Gilbert, AZ, Phillip (Keely) Funkhouser of Marietta, Ga and ucas (Ruthanne) Gentry of Niles, MI and Many Great Nieces and Nephews. Her parents Lyle Charles “Cotton” and Doris (nee: Falkner) Duggan, and brothers Bruce Duggan and Charles “Skip” Duggan are deceased.GRAVESIDE SERVICE: October 25, 2012, at 11 AM at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Put-in-Bay, OH. Rev. Lucas Gentry, a nephew, will officiate.Burial will be in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Put-in-Bay, Ohio

Our deepest condolence to her family.

Nancy's passing came too suddenly and too soon. She was a hospitable, fun-loving, and gracious lady. I'm very lucky to have grown up in the Duggan family, and Nancy was practically a surrogate aunt. Love you and miss you, Nancy. Love to the rest of the family, and especially to Roy.

Dear Roy, Linda and I are so very sorry for your loss. Nancy always was so polite to us when we would see her on the island. She always had a smile and asked about Linda's health situation. It was always a pleasure to see you and her at Tippers and else where on the island.

Roy and Duggan family - So sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. She was a special lady who meant a lot to many of us. Nancy was my first babysitter and she kept in touch with me throughout my life. I have always looked forward to her Christmas card each year filling me in on Island news and what she had been up to for the past year. For that and many more reasons I will miss her as I know you will. My sincerest sympathies to all of you.

I enjoyed all the years that I knew Nancy. Also enjoyed working with her at Island Resorts. My condolences to Roy.

Nancy was a wonderful friend, not only to Terry &I, but many others. Sorry we didn't get to the Casino, but she's in the big one with Bruce & Skip! She will be missed! A LOT!

Nancy was a wonderful person. I will miss her. She was so involved in the Sunday Car Parades handling the tickets and weekly count of parade cars. Her dedication to the parades will be missed by so many people. Roy, you now have another angel to watch over you and the family. My sincere condelences.
