Muriel F. (Matthewson) Kieffer, 96, of Fowler’s Mill, died July 21, 2010, at UHHS Geauga Medical Center in Claridon Township.Born Nov. 17, 1913, in Toronto, Canada, she had lived in Fowler’s Mill for the past 90 years.She was a loving homemaker to her family. Mrs. Kieffer was a member of the Fowler’s Mill Christian Church, where she led the junior choir for many years. She was also a member of the Women’s League of Voters and volunteered for the Geauga Community Hospital for many years.Mrs. Kieffer loved music and was an expert Scrabble player, and doing crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.Survivors are her daughter, Joan (Thomas) Rawdon of Granville; grandchildren, Mark (Molly) Rawdon of Dublin and Scott Rawdon of Granville; and great-grandchildren, Ian and Trevor Rawdon.Muriel Florence Matthewson married Robert C. Kieffer 1937. He preceded her in death April 23, 1994. Her parents, James T. and Esther E. (Harris) Matthewson; and sisters, Gladys Vaughn and Elva Mills, are also deceased.Graveside services will be held noon Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Maple Hill Cemetery (Auburn Road at Cedar Road), in Munson Township. The Rev. Roy Williams of the Fowler’s Mill Christian Church and Rev.
