MICHAEL MOROSKO SR., age 96, of Mentor, OH (formerly of Newbury Twp. for over 40 years) passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. He was born on March 21, 1927, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Michael and Susie (Nee: Kalban) Morosko. He attended South High School, where he played football, before joining the US Army during WWII. After returning from Germany, he married June Elizabeth Miller (She preceded in death on July 7, 2015)
Michael was initially trained as a tailor, but soon realized that becoming a Union Printer would provide better for his family. He was a member of Printers Local 546 M, and had worked for Lithograph, American Greeting, and Uarco. Following retirement, he worked for the Geauga Transit for 10 years.
He always enjoyed “Big Band” music and was a member of the Willoughby Friends Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Sandra (Ali) Zare of Boston Hts., and Marlene Pellegrine of Middlefield; sons, Michael (Charlotte) Morosko of North Royalton and Marlowe (Dine) Morosko fo East Claridon, OH; 11 grandchildren, Kimberly, Monique, Chris, Michael, Alicia, Michelle, Andrew, Natalie, Jennifer, Andrea and Michela; 14 great grandchildren, Chastity, Nathan, Alaina, Victoria, Abby, Mark Jr., Reese, Elle, Emma, Lucy, Luke, Lexi, Joshua and Annabel.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Willoughby Friends Church, 2846 SOM Center Rd., Willoughby Hills, OH 44094
A Funeral Service will be at the Burr Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 116 South St., Chardon, OH, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, with a visitation 1 hour before the service begins. Interment will follow at Western Reserve Memorial Garden, Chester Twp., OH
