Mr. Amantea was a member of the Church of St. Mary in Chardon. He loved gardening and hunting. His greatest joy was his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchild. Mr. Amantea proudly served in the Army during WWII. He was a purchasing Agent for General Motors for many years. He is survived by his son Michael (Barbara) Amantea , Jr. of Avon Lake, daughters Rose (Bill Minor) Goodfield of Chardon, JoAnna (Douglas) Frager of Montville Twp. and Diane (Frank) Liotta of Hambden Twp., his brother John Amantea of Brookpark, sisters Irene Furgiuele of Michigan, Anna Cavallaro andLucy Cavallaro of Mentor, Dolly Domemic of Florida, Eva Kachaline of Mayfield, andCarmella Diciccio of Munson Twp. He loved his 9 grandchildren Walter (Dawn) Goodfield, Kelly Goodfield, Matthew, Alex and Samuel Frager, Emily(Chris) Adkins, Rachel, Michael and Stephanie Liotta, and his great granddaughter Haley Noelle Goodfield. He also leaves his good friend Zachary. His wife Lucille Petrecca Amantea, whom he married August 4, 1951 in Collinwood preceded him in death June 23, 2002. His son Anthony Amantea, parents Antonio and Lena (nee: Leis) Amantea, brother Joseph Amantea and sister Faye Guido are also deceased.
