Mickey was an avid sports fan. He played baseball for the Chardon Eagles League and several All Star Teams. He enjoyed golf, fishing hunting, bowling and playing billiards. He spent much time with and attending the sporting events of his children and grandchildren. His greatest enjoyment was traveling the country and golfing with his wife, Joyce. Mickey was a Cable Splicer for Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company for 32 years, retiring in 2000. During his retirement, he worked part time at Pleasant Hills Golf Course Claridon Twp. He also worked with his wife in the family business. Survivors are his wife Joyce (Grether) Sotka of Hambden Twp., sons Michael E. Sotka III of Newbury Twp., Robert (Cindy) Sotka of Mentor, David (Angela Sawczak) Sotka of Munson Twp., daughters Michelle (John) Ross of Newbury Twp. and Julie (Shawn Difford) Bewley of Hambden Twp., grandchildren John Sotka, Perry Bewley, Johnny & Jason Ross and special companions Amber & Dutch. His parents Michael E. and Sophie (Jaworski) Sotka, Sr. andsister Rose Marie Thomas are deceased.
