Michael A. Scott, 31, and Laura A. (Leaf) Scott, 32, of Orwell, passed away Dec. 12, 2010, in Windsor Township.Michael was born June 24, 1979, in Cleveland.Laura was born April 18, 1978, in Maricopa County, Ariz.Michael was a truck driver for Dutch Maid Trucking for two years, and had driven for other companies for several years.Laura was a home health aide for Companion Care Home Health Services in Chardon.They were married at Painesville Assembly of God Church in May 1998.Their lives centered around their children and their activities. They enjoyed 4-wheeling and dirt biking. They also enjoyed traveling, especially to Disney World, Disney Cruises, New York City and Niagara Falls, N.Y.Survivors are their children, Amy and Eric Scott of Orwell; Michael’s parents, Arthur H. and Deborah L. (nee DiNobile) Scott II of Windsor Township; Laura’s mother, Sandra (nee Snyder) Leaf of Jefferson; Michael’s sister, Bonnie Shahan of Orwell; Laura’s siblings, Richard “Ritchie” Leaf of Arizona, and Candy, Susan and Mary Leaf, all of Ashtabula; Michael’s grandparents, Janice (nee Dixon) Hanes of Austinburg, Arthur and Marguerite (nee Cusick) Scott of Richmond Heights; and Laura’s grandmother, Charlotte J. (nee Burghouse) Snyder of Jefferson. They were loved by many nieces and nephews.Michael’s grandfather, Anthony DiNobile; and Laura’s grandfather, Samuel Snyder, are deceased.Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at Painesville Assembly of God, 10949 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Painesville, 440-354-6805. Pastor Aaron Taylor of the church will officiate.Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at the church. Private family burial will be held.A trust has been established for the Scott children. You can go to any KeyBank branch to make your donation. Art, I just heard the terrible news of your tragedy from my son Ben. I am so sorry for your loss and my heart aches thinking of the pain that must be in yours. I know you were very proud of Michael and had boundless love for him, Laura and kids.I am unable to comprehend the agony you and Debbie must be suffering; I only wish that I had words that would make it better, but there are none. Time will take some of the acuteness of the hurt away but the pain will be there forever.
