Mary E. Paranish, 69, of Chardon, passed away July 6, 2010, at Holly Hill Nursing Home in Newbury Township.Born Dec. 27, 1940, in Cleveland, she had lived in Mentor-on-the-Lake before moving to Chardon in 1972.She was a CLPN at Holly Hill Nursing Home and had also worked at University Hospital and The Cleveland Clinic.Mary married John M. Paranish in Monroe, Mich., July 16, 1959. He preceded her May 20, 2009.She was a member of Fowler’s Mill Church. She loved NASCAR racing and motorcycle rides with her husband on his Honda Gold Wing.Survivors are her two daughters, Laura A. (Michael) Gozelanczyk of Auburn Township and Kimberly Paranish of Chardon; four s0ons: John M. (Judy) Paranish Jr. of Concord Township, Keith A. (Lyudmyla) Paranish of New Braunfels, Texas, Gregory (Maureen) Kmetko of Chester Township, and Stephen (Linda) Paranish of Hartsgrove Township; 10 grandchildren, Megan and Adam Gozelanczyk, James and Patrick Paranish, Laura L. Paranish, Jennifer Paranish and Denys Antoneko, Danielle Almovdra and Steven Vranic, Stephen Paranish Jr.; three great-grandchildren; and her furry friends, Jack and Jill, Sampson and Delilah.She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Colletta (nee, Caveney) Rogers; and husband, John M. Paranish Sr.Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2010, at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (Route 44, 500 feet south of Route 6/Chardon Square), Chardon. Pastor Roy Williams of the Fowler’s Mill Christian Church in Munson Township will officiate. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2010, at the funeral home.
