Mrs. Meyer-Schwindl worked as the Personnel Director for Geauga County Human Services 1971 thru 1989.In 1972, she became the Loan and Collection officer for the Geauga Credit Union in Burton from 1972 until her retirement in 2000.She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Claridon since 1949 and she was a volunteer at the church for many years in different facets of the church. Mrs. Meyer-Schwindl was the first volunteer with the Geauga Park District, enjoying outside activities.Since 2001, Mrs. Meyer-Schwindl has been very active with the Geauga Department of Aging. Survivors include her daughters Linda (Jim) Petkosek of Hambden Twp.and Deborah Elko of Claridon Twp., sons Donald Paul (Emma) Meyer of Claridon Twp. and James Martin Meyer of Hambden Twp. She also leaves 6 Grand Children and 7 Great Grandchildren. Her sister Ruth Ann Williams of Chardon is her only remaining sibling.Her 1st Husband Donald W. Meyer, whom she married January 21, 1949, died June 5, 1987. She then married her 2nd Husband William G. Schwindl, who preceded her in death December 19, 1994. Her parents Harvey Martin and Esther Laura (nee: Reed) Wedding, sister Margaret Dolney and brothers H. Reed, David, Joseph and Thomas Wedding are also deceased.
