Mary J. (nee: Colarik) Lendl, age 96, of Hambden Township, a homemaker, died Dec. 2, 2010, at her home. She was born Nov.16, 1914, in Cleveland, and lived there the past 60 years. Mary Colarik married Edward Othmer Lendl on Nov. 24, 1938, in Euclid. He preceded her in death Nov. 22, 2008. Mary was a member of TOPS/KOPS and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed doing word finds, crocheting, listening to music, watching TV, gardening and canning. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Survivors are her daughters, Peggy (John) Soeder of Chester Township, Rosemary (John) Galayda of Painesville Township, and Janet (Marty) Danku of Troy Township; grandchildren, Brian (Lisa), Edward (Debbie), Mindy, Ron (Babette), Vicky (John), and Tommy; great-grandchildren, Dominic (Erin), Stephanie, Kimberly, Merissa, Nicole, Kevin, Dominic and Bobby; great-great-grandchild, Dominic II; and brother, Michael Colarik of Willoughby. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Lendl; parents, Gabriel and Anasatisa Colarik; brothers, Andy Colarik and Tom Colarik; and sisters, Rose Forgione, Katie Dragolich, Helen Repic, and Anne Quattrocchi. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 7, at 11 a.m. at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (on State Route 44, 500 feet south of Route 6/Chardon Square) Chardon. TheRev. Nancy Feldman, Mrs. Lendl’s niece, will officiate at services. Visitation will beMonday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hambden Cemetery in Hambden Township.
