Mary was a Registered Nurse at Euclid General Hospital, Euclid, for 5 years. She also had worked for Holly Hill Care Center and Heather Hill, both in Geauga County.She was a Graduate of Chardon High School, Class of 1997, and from Lakeland Community College School of Nursing in 2001.Her life revolved around her children, Morgan and Sean, whom she loved very much.Her time was devoted to her family and her career.She preferred actual hands on care of the patient, rather than administrative functions.Mary gave loving care to her grandparents, especially in the later days of their lives.When she was 9 years old, she began volunteering at Chardon Health Care Center, playing cards and offering companionship to the senior residents. This began her love of caring for others.She is survived by her children, Morgan and Sean Lyons, along with her former husband, Earl F. Lyons Jr, of Mentor, OH. She is also survived by her mother Marjorie (Mark) Gorfido of Mayfield Hts., father Rodney (Lisa Pape) Vese of Columbia, Maryland, brothers JR Vese of Akron, OH, Christopher and Chad Gorfido of Twinsburg, paternal grandfather Russell Vese of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, aunt Pamela (Dr. William) Carroll of Santa Rosa, CA, uncles Rob (Patty) Hunter of Chardon and Tom (Amy) Hunter of Mesa, AZ. Her maternal grandparents Bob and Rose Mary (Nee: Lima) Mahnke and paternal grandmother Patricia “Patty” Vese are deceased.
