Marion Silvestro Gingerich
75 of Harlingen, TX, formerly of Chardon, OH passed away June 22, 2018 after a short but courageous fight with Brain cancer. Born April 27, 1943, she was a proud Pennsylvanian and long-time resident of the Chardon community from the early 70’s, where she was a member of the Church of St. Mary. Marion was a much-loved softball coach, an avid camper, fisherwoman and loyal friend. She spent 25 summers at Paradise Lakes Campgrounds where friends became family, and her retirement winters at Posada Del Sol in Harlingen, TX where she eventually set permanent roots in 2017. Her pride in life was being grandma to 5 amazing grandchildren.
She is survived by her Children, Frank Silvestro (Kellie) & grandchildren Harry Silvestro & Audrey Silvestro of Concord, OH. Anthony Silvestro (Linda) & grandchildren AJ Silvestro, Noah Silvestro & Isabella Silvestro of Harlingen, TX and Anita Silvestro (Holly) of Chardon, OH. Her brothers Albert Majikas of Chesterland & Joseph Majikas of Kirtland and her sister Elaine Aranavage of Willowick and many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Victoria Majikas, her brother Robert Majikas and her beloved Husbands, Albert Silvestro & Ray Gingerich.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 5, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (on St. Rt. 44, 500’ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square), Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Mary, 401 North St., Chardon.
