Marie M. Zupancic, 89, of Wickliffe, will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Gabriel Church, 9935 Johnnycake Ridge Rd., Mentor.Mrs. Zupancic passed away Aug. 15, 2009, at the Golden Living Center of Western Reserve in Kirtland.Born Jan. 20, 1920, in Nantyglo, Pa., she lived in Wickliffe for 20 years.She served in the Women’s Auxiliary at St. Vitus Church in Cleveland where she had also been a parishioner. Marie enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and spending time with her family.Mrs. Zupancic was an inspector at White Sewing Machine and had also worked at RB&W and National Screw.Survivors include her daughters, Jackie (Ronald) Bixel of Concord and Carol (Richard) Zabik of Warren; sister, Marge Zupancic of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren, Rory (Greg) Lough, Jeannie (Mark) Jeckering, Patrick (April) Bixel, Melanie (Steve) Napolitan, Molly (Kent) Depue, Julee (Jeff) Klima, Ann Marie (Bill) Lee, Christopher (Nora) Zabik, and Joseph (Danielle) Zabik; and several great- grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Zupancic; parents, Valentine and Anna (Cisz) Penksa; brother, Joseph Penksa; and sisters, Ann Skrobot, and Pauline Wentz.Fr. Fred Pausche will officiate at services. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
