Marian passed into the arms of our Lord while surrounded by family, at the home of her daughter, in Chardon. Marian had style, grace and class and always gave her best effort for family and friends. During her short struggle with cancer she still maintained her sense of humor, youthful spirit, and above all, her dignity.As the matriarch , Marian devoted herself to her family’s well being. She was loving and kind. They could always depend on her help when needed. Her greatest joy was spending time with her many loved ones. She stayed active in the lives of her children and grandchildren and enjoyed traveling wherever they lived from coast to coast. Marian enjoyed bowling, watching her favorite soap operas and stepping out to her favorite coffee shop for Carmel macchiatos. Marian grew up in East Cleveland. She married Eugene Oswald on June 27, 1953. They raised three children and celebrated 50 years together until his death on February 11, 2004.While a young wife and mother, Marian worked for General Electric’s Nela Park Industrial Lighting Division for 16 years. In later years Marian volunteered for Geauga Hospital and remained very active with the VFW Auxiliary #6519 in Chardon.She is survived by her daughters Patricia Jean Manzo-Craddock, D.D.S. of Chardon, Cheryl Lynn (Bernie) Leda of Windsor, CA and son Eugene C. (Kim) Oswald, Jr. of Mayfield Village, grandchildren Rachael Manzo, Allyson and Crosby Craddock, Rebecca, Dale and Bennett Leda, and Marty and Katie Oswald and sister in law Geraldine Oswald of Chardon. Her parents Charles and Lena (Epping/Wilcox) Davis, brother Jean Davis and sisters Evelyn Hare and Margie Gates are also deceased.
