LUELLA “LOU” MAE HERWIG (NEE: YODER)

Age 90, of Newbury Twp., died April 7, 2020 at Mapleview Country Villa, Chardon, following a long illness. Born February 19, 1930 in Johnstown, PA to the late Howard and Myrtle (nee: Lape) Yoder, she has been a Newbury Twp. resident for more than 65 years. Lou was a member of the Women’s Club. In her spare time she loved to crochet, garden, cook and was infamous for her baking. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family. She was the Cook for Newbury Schools for more than 30 years, retiring in 1994.

She is survived by her children, Karen Dreisbach and Don Larsen of Ashland, Jean (Gary) Johnson of Newbury, Terry Herwig of Fayetteville, GA and Gary (Karen) Herwig of Burton, grandchildren, Kim, Todd (Missy), Julie (Gus), Amy, Lori (Ben), Thomas (Joshua), Jennifer (Tom) and Riley (Bobby); great grandchildren, Haley, Taryn, Summer, Melayna, Abram, Ella, Liam, Cameron and Jaxon. Lou also leaves her sisters, Joann Naymick and Connie Szabo. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Theodore, her grandson, Brad and her son in law, Tim Dreisbach

Due to the COVID-19 recommendations, a private family burial will be held, with a Memorial Service scheduled at a later date.
