Lois Evelyn (nee: Laurell) Towner

Lois E. Towner (nee: Laurell) age 67, of Chardon, died on October 22, 2010 at her residence. She was born on September 3, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio. She had lived in Paducah, Ky, Amherst, OH, Elyria, Oh and most recently Chardon, OH. Lois was a loving homemaker and had worked various jobs. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, games, dancing, and country music. She was also a Cleveland sports fan.She is survived by her loving companion of 29 years, Billy Locke of Toledo, Daughters, Jenny (Jeff) Ireland of Helena, Montana, Jackie (Joe Williams) Towner of Lexington, KY, and Joyce (Michael) Perrico of Chardon, her friend and former spouse, John (Sharon) A. Towner of Toledo, OH, Grandchildren, Greg, Lauren and Matt Ireland, Anthony, Marissa, Dante, and Rocco Perrico, and Great Grandson, Ashton Ireland, sisters, Gloria Brown of Lorain, and Beverly Laurell of ToledoShe is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dorothy Laurell and brothers, Paul and Don Laurell.Visitation will be 4-7PM on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St., (on St Rt. 44, 500′ south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square), Chardon, OHA graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 11:30AM at Oak Wood Cemetery, Curtice, OH with Rev. Fred Edens of Echo Meadows Church of Christ in Oregon, OH officiating.

Lois will always be remembered by myself and ny husband Mike as a truly kind and generous person. We both loved her dearly and always will, she would always make you feel so comfortable around her or at her and Bill my brothers home! we loved visiting with them. She will be sadly missed ! I loved to hear her laugh and will remember all the good times we shared with her threw the years. I will light a candle for her at the holidays like I do for outher loved ones that have passed on. LOIS AND BILL had a special love they were so close as good friends and partners A LOVE LIKE THAT IS HARDLY EVER FOUND. God blessed them both by finding each outher and I know it will be hard for you Bill but at the end of Lois's journey GOD took Lois home. but he left us with a beautifull memory that you and everyone that new her will remember!! heaven has a new bright shining star!! love Mike and Bonnie Hancock

Sorry for your loss Wild Bill!We really enjoyed our times with Lois, and we are glad we made it up there to visit her in her new home before she passed. The good side of all this is that she is with Jesus and her suffering has ended. But there are plenty here on earth that will miss her company. We always enjoyed the visits to Elyria, and the time you two went camping with us. And also enjoyed the times you and Lois came back to Wauseon, back in the day when Lois could travel. Many loving memories!I know there will lonely times ahead, but you remember you have the Lord for strength, and family to lean on. I know this is a fate we will all face, but I dread the day, so I do not want to even imagine how hard it is. But I can at least offer you an ear to hear and a shoulder to lean on.May God have many crowns waiting for Lois!

I will always remember Lois (Mama Farkle) and Game nights at the Towner's. She was a lot of fun and we always had a great time. Also Dancing with here at Jeff + Jenny Ireland's wedding reception. Frequent visits with she and Jack Towner in Amherst. She was a neat lady and will be missed. I will see you again in paradise some day. My prayers are with her family

Billy,I am so sorry for your loss.We as a family have had too much loss over the past 2 1/2 years.I loved Lois and thought she was an awesome woman.She was always good to me and I will miss her.I wish I had been able to get up there to see you both.She is now with the others who have passed and is at peace now.Love YouTerri
