Lloyd Luithle, 75, of Munson, died Oct. 20, 2008, at the Cleveland Clinic.Born Aug. 21, 1933, in Antelope, N.D., he had lived in Munson since the late 1950s.Mr. Luithle wore many hats as an elementary school teacher, minister, instructor at Kent State and Lakeland Community College and real estate broker with three offices in Geauga, Lake and Ashtabula counties. He volunteered with Meals-on-Wheels and Friendly Visits. He greatly enjoyed tinkering and working on his farm, raising buffalo and driving his tractors.Mr. Luithle was a retired conductor from Conrail, retiring in 1995.Survivors are his wife, Florice (nee Lohman) Luithle of Munson, whom he married Aug. 22, 1953, in Jacksonville, Fla.; sons, David L. (Kathi) Luithle of Phoenix, Ariz., Mark L. (Betsy) Luithle of Elgin, Ill., and Daniel L. (Melissa) Luithle of Fort Mill, S.C.; and eight grandchildren, Joshua, Ryan, Jeremy, Jordan, Sarah, Tanner, Tabitha and Samuel.He was preceded in death by his parents, Heinrich and Mary (nee Kessler) Luithle; three brothers; and one sister.Pastor Jeff Mills of the church will officiate the service. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Munson Township.
