Lloyd David Grantham, Jr., 93, died May 24, 2022 in Bradenton, FL, after a brief illness. He was born in Cleveland, OH on January 16, 1929, the fourth of twelve children to Lloyd and Norine Lane Grantham. He excelled in school and in multiple sports, graduating from Chardon (Ohio) High School in 1947 and briefly attending Western Reserve University before serving in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1954. He later worked for Sealtest Dairy before joining the Prudential Insurance Company in 1962, where he served as an agent, sales manager and district manager in Northern Ohio until 1986 and in Bradenton until his 1991 retirement. A 50-year resident of Chardon, Lloyd was active in his community, coaching youth football at St. Mary’s School from 1967-1973, working the chain gang at Chardon High School football games from 1960-1985 and serving on the Chardon Board of Education from 1973 to 1985, including six years as its President.
